Lilial, also known as Lilial or BMHCA, is a classic synthetic muguet-type aroma chemical known for its soft, elegant and floral character. Its odor profile features lily-of-the-valley, fresh floral, green, powdery and slightly fruity facets.

Historically, Lilial was widely used in muguet, floral, fresh and cosmetic-style fragrances because of its smooth floral character and good substantivity.
