Description

Oud Assam Pure is a rich natural agarwood oil with a deep woody, resinous, smoky and warm character. Its complex aroma can reveal dark balsamic, leathery, earthy and slightly animalic facets, creating a powerful and distinctive presence in the dry-down. The character of natural oud can vary considerably depending on the source, extraction and quality of the material.

In perfumery, Assam Oud is valued as a high-impact base note and character material. It can provide depth, warmth and complexity while giving a composition a distinctly dark woody identity. Because of its strong personality and persistence, it is often used in small quantities to enhance an accord rather than simply functioning as a conventional woody base.

Oud Assam Pure is particularly suited to oriental, woody, oud, leather, resinous and traditional attar compositions. It blends beautifully with sandalwood, rose, saffron, patchouli and labdanum, while incense materials can emphasize its resinous character.
