Description
Veraspice (IFF) is a distinctive spicy aroma chemical with a warm clove-like character accompanied by natural white-floral and smooth tobacco-leaf facets. IFF describes it as a unique warm spice reminiscent of cloves, combining natural white florals with smooth tobacco leaves. It offers high top impact with additional heart and base presence and more than 48 hours of substantivity.
Its aroma combines warm spice, clove, herbal, white floral, tobacco, balsamic and softly woody nuances. This multifaceted character allows Veraspice to add both warmth and complexity without making a composition feel purely spicy.
Veraspice is particularly useful in spicy-floral, tobacco, woody, amber, leather and oriental fragrances. IFF notes that it can bring body and complexity to floral bouquets and white-floral compositions, while also working well with amber, patchouli and woody notes.

Perfumers' Tip
Veraspice is especially useful for adding a warm, sophisticated spicy depth without overwhelming the floral character. A trace amount can give rose, muguet and white-floral accords more body and complexity. IFF specifically highlights its ability to add body and complexity to floral bouquets and white florals.
For a spicy-floral composition, try Veraspice + Rose + Jasmine + Hedione + Bergamot. For a warmer direction, combine it with Labdanum + Benzoin + Vanilla + Sandalwood.
For a modern tobacco accord, try Veraspice + Tobacco Absolute + Timbersilk + Patchouli + Ambroxan. Its clove-like character can also be emphasized with small amounts of Cardamom, Black Pepper or Nutmeg.
IFF specifically notes that Veraspice works well with amber, patchouli and woody notes, helping round the edges of a fragrance and give it a more modern effect.
Veraspice is particularly valuable when you want a warm spice effect with floral and smooth tobacco dimensions rather than a simple clove note. Its high impact and long substantivity mean that it is best evaluated initially at very low dosage.
