Perfumers' Tip
Vertoliff is especially useful when you want a bright green-citrus sparkle at the top of a fragrance. Combine it with Bergamot, Lemon and Grapefruit for a crisp citrus opening, or pair it with Cis-3-Hexenol and Violet Leaf to create a more pronounced leafy-green effect.
For a fresh green-floral accord, try Vertoliff + Dihydromyrcenol + Hedione + Geranium + Bergamot. Starfleur and Hyacinth Body can add a transparent floral dimension, while Galbanum and Oakmoss can make the green character deeper and more natural.
Vertoliff can also be useful in tomato-leaf and botanical-style accords, where its green, citrus and herbal character helps create a fresh plant-like impression.
IFF reports high top-note impact, with substantivity of more than 3 hours and a typical use level of up to 2%.
Because Vertoliff is primarily a top-note material with strong green and aldehydic character, start at low levels and evaluate the opening before increasing the dosage.
