Description

Aldehyde C14, commonly known in perfumery as Gamma Undecalactone, is a classic peach aroma chemical with a soft, creamy and highly recognizable fruity character. Despite the traditional perfumery name "Aldehyde C14," it is chemically a lactone rather than an aldehyde.

Its odor profile combines ripe peach, creamy fruit, milky and slightly coconut-like facets, making it one of the most useful materials for building realistic peach effects.

In perfumery, Gamma Undecalactone is widely used in peach, fruity, floral, gourmand and tropical accords. It can add juicy richness to fruit compositions while also giving floral fragrances a soft and creamy dimension.

It is particularly effective when blended with other lactones, fruity esters and floral materials. At higher levels, its creamy peach character becomes more prominent, while smaller amounts can simply add smoothness and fruitiness to an accord.

Gamma Undecalactone is an excellent starting point for a realistic peach accord. Combine it with Gamma Decalactone and other fruity lactones for a juicy, creamy fruit effect, or blend it with Hedione and floral materials for a sophisticated peach-floral fragrance.
