Description

Ambermax 50% in Dowanol is a pre-diluted solution of Ambermax, a highly powerful woody-amber aroma chemical. The dilution in Dowanol helps make this exceptionally strong material easier to handle and incorporate into fragrance formulations.

Ambermax is known for its dry, powerful, ambery-woody character, with facets that can be described as cedar-like, mineral, warm and slightly earthy. It is particularly valued for its ability to provide exceptional diffusion, strength and tenacity even at very low concentrations.

In perfumery, Ambermax is commonly used to enhance woody, amber, oriental and modern masculine accords. It can give a fragrance a strong contemporary woody backbone and significantly increase the persistence of the drydown.

Because Ambermax is extremely potent, the 50% dilution is convenient for controlled dosing and blending. It can also be useful when constructing powerful woody-amber bases where a small amount of material needs to have a substantial olfactory effect.

Perfumers' Tip

Ambermax is a high-impact woody-amber material, so it is best introduced gradually. The 50% Dowanol dilution makes it easier to dose than neat Ambermax. Try combining it with Iso E Super for a more diffusive woody effect, or with Ambroxan and Cashmeran for a powerful modern amber-woody drydown.

Important: Dowanol is a solvent/carrier, so the performance and dosage of this product should be evaluated based on the actual Ambermax concentration supplied.
