Description
Bay Leaf Oil is a distinctive aromatic essential oil valued in perfumery for its fresh, spicy, herbal and woody character. It provides a warm botanical quality that can give fragrance compositions greater depth and aromatic complexity.
Its aroma combines herbal, spicy, fresh, slightly camphoraceous, woody and subtly clove-like facets. This distinctive profile makes it particularly useful for traditional aromatic structures as well as contemporary fresh and woody fragrances.
Bay Leaf Oil works especially well in fougère, aromatic, spicy, woody, herbal and masculine fragrance compositions. It can add character to the heart while blending naturally with citrus, lavender, herbs, spices and woods.

Perfumers' Tip
Bay Leaf Oil is excellent for adding a warm, spicy and aromatic herbal character. Combine it with Bergamot, Lavender and Geranium for a classic fougère direction, or pair it with Rosemary, Clary Sage and Juniper Berry for a more pronounced herbal accord.
For a spicy woody composition, try Bay Leaf Oil + Black Pepper + Cardamom + Cedarwood + Vetiver. Clove and Nutmeg can deepen its warm spice character, while Olibanum Oil can introduce a subtle resinous dimension.
Because Bay Leaf Oil has a distinctive spicy-herbal character, use it at low levels initially and increase gradually during evaluation.
