Description

Brahmanol is a modern woody aroma chemical with a characteristic smooth, creamy, soft and sandalwood-like odor. In perfumery, Brahmanol is primarily used as a sandalwood base-note material. It can give woody compositions greater roundness and persistence and works especially well in sandalwood, amber, woody, oriental and floral constructions. Its smooth character also makes it useful as a blending material, helping connect stronger woody materials with softer floral and musky notes.

Perfumers' Tip

Brahmanol is excellent for building a smooth, creamy sandalwood foundation. Use it alongside other sandalwood materials when you want more body and a softer, rounded drydown.

For a fuller sandalwood accord, combine it with Sandalore, Bacdanol or Polysantol. Adding Iso E Super can increase the airy woody effect, while Ambroxan, patchouli or benzyl salicylate can create a deeper and more substantial base.
