Description

Capinone, also known as Acetyl Longifolene, is a powerful woody aroma chemical with a sweet, dry, ambery and cedar-like character. It is derived from the longifolene family and is supplied as a viscous liquid. Capinone works particularly well as a woody base-note anchor. Use it to give sandalwood, cedar and vetiver accords greater body and persistence while adding a warm sweet-amber facet.

For a modern woody fragrance, try combining it with Iso E Super, Cashmeran and Ambroxan. For a richer oriental direction, pair it with patchouli, labdanum, sandalwood and balsamic materials.
