Description
Cedramber, also known as Methyl Cedryl Ether, is a versatile modern woody-amber aroma chemical with a distinctive dry, warm and sophisticated character. Its odor profile combines cedarwood, amber, resinous, dry woody and slightly smoky facets, making it an excellent material for building strong woody foundations.
In perfumery, Cedramber is widely used in woody, amber, cedar, oriental and masculine compositions. It provides excellent substantivity and can add depth, warmth and persistence to a fragrance while maintaining a clean and contemporary woody character.
Its strong yet versatile profile makes it useful for both standalone woody accords and as a supporting material in more complex compositions. It can also help bridge fresh woody heart notes with deeper amber and musk materials.

Perfumers' Tip
Cedramber is excellent for creating a dry, modern cedarwood-amber backbone. Combine it with Iso E Super for greater diffusion and smoothness, or pair it with Ambroxan and Ambermax for a powerful long-lasting woody-amber base. Cedarwood, Vetiver and Patchouli can add a more natural and complex woody character.
