Cis Jasmone, also known as Jasmona Cis, is a highly valued jasmine-type aroma chemical with a distinctive green, floral and slightly fruity character. It captures an important part of the natural character of jasmine and is widely used to give fragrance compositions a more realistic floral quality.

Its odor profile combines jasmine, green, fruity, floral and slightly tea-like nuances, with a soft warm character that adds natural complexity to floral compositions.

In perfumery, Cis Jasmone is particularly useful in jasmine, white floral, green-floral and natural-style accords. It can enhance the freshness and naturalness of jasmine compositions while also contributing a delicate fruity-green dimension.

It is also useful as a modifier in rose, muguet and other floral compositions where a fresh, natural floral character is desired.

Perfumers' Tip

Cis Jasmone is an excellent material for giving a jasmine accord a fresh, natural and slightly green character. Combine it with Hedione and Methyl Jasmonate for a radiant jasmine effect, or add small amounts of Cis-3-Hexenol for a greener, more natural floral impression. A touch of Indole can increase the depth and realism of a jasmine composition.
