Description

Copaiba Balsam is a natural oleoresin obtained from species of the Copaifera genus. In perfumery, it is appreciated for its warm, smooth and balsamic character, with soft woody, resinous and slightly spicy nuances. Its profile is generally gentler and more fluid than many heavy balsamic materials, making it useful for adding warmth without making an accord excessively dense.

In fragrance construction, Copaiba Balsam is mainly used as a base-note material to provide body, warmth and a natural resinous character. It works particularly well in woody, amber, balsamic, incense and oriental-style compositions. It can also soften sharper woody materials and help create a smoother transition between heart and base notes.
