Description

Di Hydro Jasmon, commonly known as DHJ, is a versatile jasmine-type aroma chemical with a fresh, elegant and slightly fruity floral character. Its odor profile combines jasmine, floral, fresh, fruity and subtly green facets, making it useful for creating radiant and natural floral compositions.

In perfumery, DHJ is primarily used in jasmine and white-floral accords, where it can provide freshness and floral body while helping create a smooth transition between brighter top notes and the deeper heart.

Its fresh and slightly fruity character also makes it useful in fruity-floral, green-floral and fresh compositions. It can complement other jasmine materials while adding a softer, more rounded dimension to the floral structure.

Perfumers' Tip

DHJ is useful for building a fresh, smooth and natural jasmine character. Combine it with Hedione for greater floral radiance, or pair it with Cis Jasmone and Methyl Jasmonate for a more complex jasmine accord. Benzyl Acetate can add fruity-floral volume, while white musks can give the composition a soft and clean finish.
