Description

Heliotropin, also known as Piperonal, is a classic aroma chemical with a distinctive sweet, powdery and slightly almond-like character. It has soft vanilla, floral and balsamic nuances that give fragrances a warm, elegant and comforting quality.

In perfumery, Heliotropin is widely used to create heliotrope, almond, powdery, vanilla, floral and gourmand accords. Perfumers' Tip

Heliotropin is excellent for creating a soft, powdery and creamy floral effect. Combine it with Vanillin and Coumarin for a warm gourmand accord, or pair it with Benzaldehyde and almond materials for a richer almond-vanilla character. It is especially effective in fragrances where a smooth, nostalgic powdery drydown is desired.
