Description

Isopropyl Quinoline is a powerful quinoline-based fragrance material with a distinctive dark, leathery and animalic character. It has strong earthy, woody, smoky and slightly tar-like nuances, making it particularly valuable for adding depth and complexity to perfume compositions.

In perfumery, Isopropyl Quinoline is mainly used in leather, animalic, oriental, chypre, woody and smoky accords. Because of its high odor intensity, it is generally used at very low concentrations. Even trace amounts can introduce a dark, sophisticated and slightly rugged character.

It can also be used to give floral and woody compositions greater depth and contrast, especially when a vintage leather or animalic effect is desired.
