Description

Methyl Laitone 10% DPG is a powerful lactonic fragrance material with a creamy, milky and distinctly coconut-like character. It combines coconut-milk nuances with soft fruity, tropical, plum-like and coumarinic facets, creating a rich and rounded impression. Because the material is supplied at 10% dilution in DPG, it is easier to evaluate and dose in fragrance formulations.

In perfumery, Methyl Laitone is especially valuable for adding creamy volume and body to compositions. It can give jasmine, gardenia, tuberose and ylang-ylang accords a smoother, more cosmetic quality, while bringing milkiness and richness to sandalwood structures. It is also highly effective in peach, osmanthus, tropical fruit, gourmand and coconut accords.
