Description

Operanide IFF is a distinctive amber-woody perfumery material with a creamy, soft and powdery character. It combines warm amber facets with subtle gourmand nuances, making it useful for creating smooth and enveloping fragrance structures. Compared with very dry or aggressive woody-amber materials, Operanide offers a softer and more rounded character.

It is particularly effective in amber, woody, floral, spicy and gourmand compositions. Operanide can give additional volume to the heart of a fragrance while helping create a smooth transition into the base. Its creamy texture also makes it useful for softening sharper woody materials and adding warmth to modern fragrance structures.

Operanide works especially well alongside contemporary amber materials, Cashmeran-type woods, floral materials and citrus notes. It can bring an elegant contrast to fresh cologne structures while also supporting richer sandalwood, amber and spicy accords. Its combination of warmth, powderiness and woody depth makes it suitable for both masculine and unisex fragrances.

For perfumers, Operanide is best evaluated in a diluted solution and tested throughout the dry-down. At moderate levels it can provide a soft amber-woody body, while higher levels can make its creamy and powdery character more prominent.
