Description

Patchouli Oil is an excellent foundation material for rich woody and earthy compositions. Combine it with Bergamot, Rose and Geranium for a classic chypre direction, or pair it with Vetiver and Cedarwood for a dry, earthy woody base.

For a warm oriental composition, try Patchouli Oil + Labdanum + Benzoin + Sandalwood + Oud Accord. Vanillin and Tonka Bean can add a sweet gourmand dimension, while Olibanum Oil and Myrrh create a refined resinous effect.

Patchouli can be quite powerful, so start at a moderate level and adjust gradually according to the desired earthy intensity.
