Styrax Absolute is excellent for creating a dark, warm and resinous foundation. Combine it with Labdanum and Benzoin for a rich amber accord, or pair it with Leather Accord and Cade Oil to emphasize its smoky and leathery character.

For a warm woody composition, try Styrax Absolute + Sandalwood + Cedarwood + Patchouli + Ambroxan. Olibanum and Myrrh can introduce an incense dimension, while Vanilla and Tonka Bean can soften its darker facets.

Because Styrax Absolute can be intense, heavy and highly characterful, start at trace levels and increase gradually during evaluation to maintain balance.
