Vertofix is particularly useful for creating a warm, dry and sophisticated cedarwood base. Combine it with Timbersilk or Iso E Super for a smooth modern woody structure, or pair it with Cashmerane and Ambroxan for greater warmth and diffusion.

For a classic woody-fougère composition, try Vertofix + Lavender + Bergamot + Geranium + Coumarin + Oakmoss. For a darker woody-amber direction, combine Vertofix + Labdanum + Patchouli + Ambroxan + Vanilla.

Its leathery facet makes it especially useful with Tobacarol, Tobacco Absolute and leather materials when creating tobacco, suede or masculine woody accords.

Vertofix is also useful as a base-building and fixative material because of its persistence. IFF reports more than 48 hours of substantivity, while its fragrance profile is described as woody, cedar, leather and dry with musky undertones.

Because Vertofix has a strong, recognizable woody character, start at moderate levels and evaluate the drydown before increasing the dosage.
