Description

Vetiver STD is a standardized vetiver fragrance material used to create the characteristic earthy and woody profile associated with vetiver. Its odor profile combines dry woody, earthy, smoky, root-like and slightly leathery nuances, giving fragrance compositions depth and a natural character.

Perfumers' Tip

Vetiver STD is an excellent foundation for a classic earthy-woody vetiver accord. Combine it with bergamot or grapefruit for a fresh citrus-vetiver opening, or pair it with patchouli, cedarwood and labdanum for a darker, smoky woody base. For a smoother and cleaner interpretation, Vetiveryl Acetate can be blended into the accord to soften the earthy facets.
