Perfumers' Tip
Violiff is particularly useful for building a fresh, green violet-leaf accord with an unusual fruity twist. Combine it with Violet Leaf, Methyl Ionone and Ionones for a fuller violet direction, or pair it with Cis-3-Hexenol and Galbanum for a sharper leafy-green effect.
For a modern green-floral composition, try Violiff + Bergamot + Violet Leaf + Hedione + Geranium + White Musks. Adding a small amount of Liffarome or Prenyl Acetate can emphasize its fruity-green character.
Violiff can also be used to create fresh green effects in woody compositions. Combine it with Timbersilk, Cedarwood, Vetiver and a touch of Galbanum for a sophisticated green-woody fragrance.
IFF reports very good performance in fine fragrance, with good to very good performance across several personal-care applications and substantivity of more than 6 hours. (IFF)
Because its violet-leaf, green and fruity facets are distinctive, start at low levels and evaluate the complete fragrance before increasing the dosage.
